I have this mental daydream. I'm staring at a wall that goes from the earth to the sky, and on that wall are millions of pictures. Pictures from everyone. But my eye goes immediately to ilisu's pictures. My eye sees them first, and it makes me happy. I guess I'm saying that her use of color draws my eye to her work before you can see anyone or anything else. It's arresting, vibrant, bold and strong, yet it never knocks you over your head. And if you sit and actually analyze her colors you'll notice there's tons of theory and juxtaposition happening in the frame, and it's why she's one of my favorite photographers hands down. I always say it but i mean it: she's utterly brilliant. Keep it coming, this world needs your color!

Ilisu owns color. Period. Her photos are always vibrant and alive and I'm always looking for what she'll come up with next. Charming and inspiring, she's the reason I really started trying to appreciate the color in my own environment and have been chasing her coattails ever since.
