Ilene Perlman has been photographing people and travel for clients within the editorial, educational and corporate world for over 20 years. With wide experience working for magazines, international organizations, travel companies, and corporate/foundation clients, her photojournalistic style brings a fresh eye to every assignment.

Her international assignments have led her from remote villages in India to the north central highlands of Ethiopia. She’s used to hopping on a plane within days, encountering the unexpected and coming through. Even an airline strike didn’t stop her from arriving on time for an assignment in Sicily.

Her work can be found in leading editorial publications, marketing materials for the travel industry and for several global travel companies, and in advertising and annual reports. She has been the main photographer for the past six years for Elderhostel, an educational travel organization as well as Grand Circle and Overseas Adventure Travel. She has also worked on other worthwhile and inspiring projects for both the Arthur Blank Foundation and Target's Community Awareness Foundation Awareness Campaign.
