Ignotus the Mage is four artists who work in diverse media. The contributions to this Flickr site are mostly from Paul Hertz and Alma de la Serra. Paul has been taking photos since he was a kid, mostly for fun but also to keep track of ideas for his art. Alma used to teach high school math, but she's working hard at becoming an artist who uses photography as her principle means of expression.
If you want to publish our work, even the CC-licensed images, please have the courtesy to contact us. Knowing where our work is used benefits our careers. If we could hardwire "Notification" into the CC license, we would. It's not meant to be a pool of free images for lazy art directors, but that seems to be the way it's used. That is why we have been copyrighting images, lately. Not because we want to guard them jealously, but so that we will be notified in the event you want to use them. Contact us to get the appropriate attribution line (hint: it's not our Flickr handle).
Our digital work is documented on our website, ignot.us.
