I was born in Jianou and grew up in Fuzhou and then Hangzhou, China.

Photography is one of my favorites since my college time. Upgrading my gears is my initial and long-lasting driven factor of loving photography. The first camera I used was an Olympus compact digital camera (forgot its name, maybe U720) and then switched to Minolta A1 after I arrived in U.S.A. in 2003. In 2004, I started using my first DSLR Nikon D70 due to lowered threshold of DSLR. Two year later, I upgraded to D200 in google check-out , which gave us the biggest deal ever. In 2008, right after the release of Nikon D90, which is the first DSLR with HD video, I bought one and sold my D200. In 2008, I sold D90 and upgrade to Nikon D300 for semi-pro shoots. In 2010, I again upgraded to D700 with full frame CMOS which has excellent performance in noise-control.

Upgrading camera body is fun, the same as lens upgrading. Initially, due to limited budget, I mainly bought non-Nikon lens with large aperture, such as Tamron’s pro lens, 28-75/2.8. However, the color and sharpness from Nikon’s lens impressed me deeply, which lead me to pure nikon-lens user. Next step is dreaming to have a Nikon lens with sweet but very expensive golden ring, which represent Nikon’s pro lens.

Other than upgrading my gears, taking beautiful photos is my another driven factor of loving photography. This was deeply affected by a photogrpaher on internet, whose ID is geneGG. His amazing photos of Banff national park shocked me. Before that, I never knew a camera could take such nice photos. After shocked by his works, I started loving landscape photography.

But right now time and budget is so limited that I can’t fulfil my dream to travel around the whole word with my family during my lifetime and record those memorable moments and landscapes for all of us.

Wish one day my foot tracks cover our Earth.
