I'm an amateur photographer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. My main interests are in portraiture and street photography.
If there's any of my work you'd like to buy, flickrmail me or contact me by at iftekharamin@outlook.com.
I don't mind people using my pictures, as long as I know about it. My not knowing about it, of course, will likely incur wrath on epic proportions, directed very directly.
I try (no promises) to reply to everyone who comments on my photos - thank you for looking! Having said which. Awards are evil. And generally very tacky, too.
Apparently it's a good idea to list your gear on your profile?

I walked into his stream about a year back, and have been a fan since. This is a man who redefines art, plays with it, and fills it with his uniqueness. And oh, even his uniqueness has a unique name - 'Iftyness' ;) If you're willing to go through a photostream that's gonna make you think, his is the one. His compositions will make you think, his tones will make you think, the thoughts behind his photographs will definitely make you think - think about everything that they could mean. I'd say most of his photos are very clear-cut and ambiguous at the same time, and that's one of the reasons why I like his work so much. You can lose yourself in his photographs for a while. While in the supermassive realm of Flickr it's not difficult to find two (or two hundred) artists having pretty much the same style, it's just plain impossible to find a second 'Ifty'. You'll agree, I bet =)

He's the hand guy on flickr, period. Nah. Ifty has a lot more on his stream than an opportunity to scrutinize hands and palms and whathaveyou. He's got a few things going in parallel, not quite documentary-ish, but more of continuous stories whose protagonists range from flesh-and-blood street kids of harsh reality to the plastic perfect Bernie with his exciting adventures in the wild world of imagination. Oh, and he's a great tipster - if you've got questions about techniques, he'll spill the whole nine yards. I'm very happy to call him a friend (=

Ifty, Ifty; I can still remember how we (including Shannon) stumbled upon each other's streams when replying to a thread. It has been fun exploring his stream, especially because he doesn't seem to restrict himself to just 'one kind' of shots. It's always a joy reading his comments; there's always valuable feedback, and sometimes, sharing of information. Definitely not someone you'll expect replies of just a few words, for the sake of replying. Allow me to thank you for your kind comments! It's been nice knowing him too, and I definitely hope he'll be able to get a pro account. Keep the creative juices flowing, and let us all improve together! :)
