I'm David and yes, I enjoy photography. And that's important, really, because if you don't enjoy it you simply won't do well with it. Having a passion and a zeal, a zest and a drive for something is certainly a prerequisite for doing well at it, at least in my own opinion.

The Flickr photos here are some of my personal favorites that I would like to share with you. I am continuously amazed by the incredibly wonderful environment that Flickr is: it is truly a global community and I have made some wonderful friends through here.

I am based in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area and shoot primarily in the SouthWest United States (but, of course, there are always little trips here and there). My forte is landscapes and nature in general; mountains do not fuss while you take forever to compose a picture, yet I also enjoy the challenge of wildlife as well. I've been blessed in some of the locations I have been able to visit and blessed by the people I have met. I try to draw out the power and the beauty of the moment before me, capturing and preserving the mood. I do exceptionally little post processing on my images--for the most part, what you see here is straight out of the camera. I will clean up the photos a little bit, to be sure, and the crop tool is my best friend, but there is something so alluring to me about presenting the photo as I saw it.
