People have described me as a uncommon young man.

For four years I've endeavoured to become a graphics designer while studying at a college for fine arts.

Now that I've managed to get my college's seal of approval, I'm still studying to become a graphic designer, while making a living from doodling logo's and helping people think up websites, visual identities, books, handouts, flyers, interesting films and motion graphics, wayfinding signage and exhibitions.

You can find a small personal page about me here.

Things I love or like include apple gear, various types of visual arts, cats, my wife Eline, my friends, a few of the people I work with regularly and looking at beautiful things.

A few things I don't like are unkind people, people that do not aim to improve themselves and for some reason, gradients in print design give me an itch.

All people have some sort of goal at some point in their lives and I have had lots and will have many more. In the past I've had moderate succes in reaching those goals. Naturally I presume to be more succesfull in the future when it comes to reaching goals.

At the moment, besides wanting to be more succesfull in reaching goals, I'd like to find out what makes a good image. Image as in the dutch expression "goed beeld" which can mean anything from 3d work to movies and painting or graphic design.

Beyond that, I'd like to learn what it is to find solutions to problems in such a way that I can take the burden of thinking away from my 'customers'. I like to call that 'dethinking'.

Very recently I managed to save up enough money from some work that people were generous enough to pay me for that I was able to purchase a brand new camera.

It's a Canon EOS 600D with an 50mm 1.8F lens.

As for having a favourite color;

Insofar as anyone can have a 'favourite color' which of course tends to change depending on light, material, way of seeing said colour and actually appreciating the colour, I would have to say that my favourite coffee cup is orange so presumably it is my favourite colour.

Also, my studio has an orange- yellow color scheme, so there's that.

I like photographing inanimate objects and textures, though I'd like to learn how to effectively and beautifully portray people as I see them.
