The World Agroforestry Centre is part of the alliance of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) centres dedicated to generating and applying the best available knowledge to stimulate agricultural growth, raise farmers’ incomes, and protect the environment.

The ICRAF Vietnam office was established in 2005 and works with national partners including the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), Research institutes, Universities and NGOs, as well as international partners in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Southwest China. ICRAF have a vision of an agroforestry transformation in which smallholder poor households have access to natural, social, human, financial and physical capital, providing security to their livelihoods, food, income, health, shelter, energy and a regenerated environment. ICRAF strives to understand opportunities for agroforestry and remove constraints to its development.
