I am a freelance music journalist for Brisbane’s RAVE streetpress and Australia’s national Blues and Roots magazine Rhythms. My mother, sighting my keen interest in music and the arts, had me predominantly educated in Arts based schools, which focused more on drama, music and dance. One of my fondest memories is arriving at school one morning, as a young 14-year-old, to be almost knocked flat by the music teacher, who was enjoying an adventurous slide down the bannister. In 2008, I published the book Icons of Tomorrow – a multi-biographical account on the lives of indie musicians – which is now in it’s second print run.
