I'm an amateur photographer who's had so many happy accidents with my camera over the past 20 years that if I put together a portfolio, it'd look like I knew what I'm doing, (which I don't). Taking pictures, for me, is all about seeing the picture with your eye and capturing it as fast and as accurate as possible. I take pictures to remember something I saw that blew my mind, as I saw it. Moments are so fleeting in life, and I forget most of what I've been through (and I've been fortunate to have gone through some pretty amazing shit) and so I can keep revisiting them and remembering all the details, which I love. I know that sounds gay and obvious and retarded, but that's where I'm coming from (like you asked).

I recently purchased what I'm sure will be my first in a long line of digital cameras. It's a Fujifilm Finepix 5mp S5200 that I picked up for $350.00 at Target and I love it. When it grows up, it wants to be a big ol' Canon 16 mp SLR with interchangeable lenses. For now, it's doin' the trick. I hope you enjoy my photos and please don't make fun of any of them. I'm sensitive.
