I have always been an 'observer' of this World. I like to watch, observe, but keep my distance. Somehow I do not want to step in and be a part of things, I do not want to spoil or change things by getting involved, maybe I feel inadequate, maybe I am just lacking in self-confidence, I have never wanted to find out what the reason is, I simply know that this is one of the reasons that drive me to be a traveller and a documenting photographer. Through this medium I find that I am able to uncover more than just the voyeur’s point of view and that I am able to participate without taking part.

I come from a quiet and picturesque Italian town alongside a lake and have lived in many places, including London and Shanghai. I have been fortunate to have my passion and my work converge and as an international sales director in the photographic industry I get to travel around the world, meet many professionals in the field and learn from diverse experiences of others and of myself.

Exploring is what I love most, so in my free time I head to places such remote locations. I like to immerse myself in the local environment, observe people in their natural surroundings and thus come to understand their stories, behaviour and traditions. The human factor is never missing in my images, even without being present physically in them and in my act of observation I try to capture with my travel companion, i.e. my Leica M., the true essences layered in the moment.

Developing my passion has helped me penetrate beyond what is obvious and predictable and elaborate my thoughts and approaches. Breaking down the walls in my mind and discovering a new self through my photography has been the subconscious destination all the time and I only realized this while editing my work and taking the time to verbalize to myself the story and stories in my work.

This tireless dreamer is now working very hard to realize these dreams. I have decided that it is time to step up and turn my passion for travel and photography into more than just a hobby. I am leaving the bourgeoisie safety nets, which I have relied on for so many years all these years, and venturing out to become a full time traveller and documenting photographer. I am working towards recognition, I want to get my pictures published and exhibited, and my main goal is to share with others the world as I have seen it, the stories I have captured.
