Ian Jason Norris was spat out into the world in 1981, an eager learner who was ready to take on the world of art with his boundless talents. His formative years were spent behind a desk as he learned how to doodle his favourite superhero’s – his talents were later shined to a dark, oaky polish after he earned his diploma for graphic design at the Cape Technicon.

It was at college where Ian delved into the world of independent comic books such as Maus, Watchmen, Sandman, Harvey Pekar, various Vertigo Comics characters and so on. This is what his portfolio is a representation of, a timeline of Ian’s creative talent as he progressed from scribbling on the back of comic books to his professional level artwork which is comprised of various pieces of art which best embody his unique capacity for creative expression.

One of Ian’s greatest gifts and passions is the creation of observational pieces which are somewhat based on his real-life adventures. Ian is now ready to expand his portfolio and branch out into a wider range of graphic design fields and subject matter. This is Ian’s life, his passion.
