Looking back on my past photographic achievements helps me to realise how much i have learned about photography and how much it means in my life. The trophies, published pictures, awards won and the feeling that there is always so much more you can learn is as much a life lesson as a photographic one.
Photography really does change the way you look at the world around you and makes you appreciate the beauty that is there in front of your very nose. It lets you see things that you used just to walk past and never even realised were so beautiful.
More important than all the achievements that i have made over the years is the friends i have made along the way as well as the people who i have the opportunity of sharing some unique and special moments with over the years.
Its amazing the amount of friendly and helpful photographers out there always willing to help you out and give you some extra knowledge and encouragement. People who are just open honest and themselves with no alterior motives or selfish intentions. I have enjoyed the company of many of these people and look forward to meeting many more.
