Supian Ahmad is a documentary photographer as well as Photo Editor at a Malaysian based photo agency.
Previously worked as a photojournalist at one of the country’s largest news agencies, The New Straits Times Press (M) Berhad for the past 14 years.
With an educational background in the field of Diploma in Visual and Graphic (Communication), Supian really needs to be creative in his assignments, this has become an advantage that he always uses in his tasks.
Among the assignments that have been covered are the Muslim-Buddhist Crisis in Rakhine/Sitwee and Bangladesh-Myanmar, the Mentawai Tsunami in the Indonesian Islands, the Modernization of Lebanon, the Death of the Sultan of Perak, the Fame of the Sultan of Perak, Formula 1 & Sepang MotoGP, the SEA Games and many more conflicts and news domestically.
A documentary fan as well as history. He is now actively experimenting solo to document the development and life of Malaysia in the genre of Street Photography on his personal blog StreetMalaya and Instagram, Street Photographer Union.
Uses a film camera in most of his personal projects and is in the process of publishing a Zine in collaboration with several freelance photographers.
Co-founder of Dekade, Kongsi Hub KL and Malaysia based photo agency, Padu Photo Agency.
