IACD is a non-profit association catering to the needs of the poor community living close to ICRISAT. IACD is constantly evolving and finding innovative ways of helping the less privileged. We empower students with skills which enable them to get jobs and earn a living. Young adults and women learn how to sew, take computer classes, improve their English language ability, and develop self-confidence all the while. Empowerment brings lasting change that will strengthen people’s ability to improve their lives. The aim is to bring about transformation within the community, enabling people to stand on their own feet. We have a team of dedicated volunteers who make all these activities possible. They believe that change is the law of life. Those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.
