Photography has opened my eyes to a new way of seeing things and through it to express myself. I am slowly learning to understand what that actually means too.
I am drawn in particular to the land and sea. It's not necessarily what you photograph that matters, but the light does. I'd read that so many times but it didn't really mean anything to me until one day I had this same realisation. I seek those moments of true understanding (rather than just knowledge without foundation).
My aim is improve and to this end I am limiting the number of groups I join on Flickr and will post in groups where I hope to receive constructive feedback. Chasing awards and comments can be addictive (been there!) but ultimately does nothing to further your abilities.
