My interest in photography started with a course in Contemporary Photomedia as part of my uni degree at Central Queensland University, Australia. At the time I'd never heard of an SLR camera. It didn't take long before I purchased a Canon 400D and three lenses (my favorite being a macro). Nowadays I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark II.

Apart from photography, I spend my days blogging over on my website at SLR Photography Guide. Those after a daily photography tip or two can subscribe to my feed:

If you want to get up close to the marvellous array of Queensland's flora and fauna, then you need look no further than Tanya's photostream. She calls herself Hypergurl. but it should be Macro Mackay! Her images of Mackay and its surrounds are also most inviting -- and help put that part of the central Queensland coastline firmly on the map (DP at Tourism Mackay, are you taking note!!). As they say in the 'old country' -- Onnea, Tanya -- and I look forward to a lot more of your work in the months (dare I say years?) ahead.
