Your average Jo(e) and merely a casual photographer without any of the super-sophisticated gear he would love to get his hands on(*) - hopping from one place to another and while doing so, trying to capture images of things and places he likes.

I'm also a great admirer of so many works other people upload (recently vintage photographs and illustration). Web 2.0 at its best...

(*) Okay... I did now buy what I called 'super-sophisticated gear' back then: A fine Canon 5D MkII with two rather uncommon lenses: a 50mm f1,2 and the MPE-65 magnifying lens. Still trying to get friendly with that tool. The last time I shot with SLRs lays way in the past. I'm still more comfortable with my compact cameras and that will probably never change.

My collection of photographic tools include:

Canon Powershot G1X mark II - (the current working horse)

Canon Powershot G12 - (reliable stand-in for when the G1X shows its weaknesses)

Canon EOS 5D Mark II - (dragged out whenever I 'really mean' it)

I still shoot analogue film from time to time. Mostly for not forgetting about the different approach.

Minolta Vectis S1 - (my first self-bought and much loved camera; abandoning APS film was a real tragedy for me)

Canonet QL17-GIII - (my dearest toy, as old as myself and quite a looker)

Canon Dial 35 - (still a repair project... will I ever finish?)
