For a long time, I have worked as a scientist studying the fate of chemicals in the environment and how organisms respond to those chemicals and their breakdown products. I continue to work as an independent consultant in that field but have been reducing my hours in order to devote more time to wildlife photography, particularly birds. It brings me great pleasure.
