I'm a 32 year old based in Guildford (Surrey, UK) and on September 10th 2009, I bought myself a Panasonic Lumix TZ6. I know absolutely nothing about photography, so I've bought a couple of books, read a few magazines and begun my digital discovery. I'm pretty sure most of what you see for the first couple of years is going to be pretty punk. On October 16th 2009, I leave for a trek to Mount Everest so whilst the quality of the shots might be suspect, the scenery will hopefully make up for it. I'm happy to take all the criticism so let me know if you have any tips. The one thing that I've noticed about the TZ6 is that it doesn't have manual aperture settings or aperture priority. I'm already lusting after a Canon or a Nikon but for now my Lumix will do just fine.
