The Husavik Museum in Húsavík, Northern Iceland is home of an extraordinary collection of thousands of beer and other drink labels from all around the world. This collection is an amazing treasure of artworks form various regions of the world.

Over a period of 40 years Þorður Jónsson from Brekka in Aðaldal, Iceland, collected almost 100.000 labels from all around the world. Þorður was born in 1927 and worked in an Icelandic brewery from 1958.

Elena Schneider is a type and graphic designer from Germany, currently living and working in Húsavík, Iceland. She holds an MA in Typeface Design from the University of Reading (UK) and a Diploma in Communication Design from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund (DE).
