The Clark Kent version of myself is a teacher. My alter-ego is a sometimes-photographer (and a total flickr-addict). It's no Superman, but I'm learning how to explore more through my lens, by taking photos every day. Drop by, enjoy what you see, introduce yourself if you feel like it. I look forward to seeing how you see the world through your lens too!

“Oh! Are you hungry?” she asked, turning to the other beast, who was just then yawning so widely that he displayed two rows of terrible teeth and a mouth big enough to startle anyone.

“Dreadfully hungry,” answered the Tiger, snapping his jaws together with a fierce click.

“Then why don’t you eat something?” she asked.

“It?s no use,” said the Tiger sadly. “I’ve tried that, but I always get hungry again.”

“Why, it is the same with me,” said Dorothy. “Yet I keep on eating.”

“But you eat harmless things, so it doesn’t matter,” replied the Tiger. “For my part, I’m a savage beast, and have an appetite for all sorts of poor little living creatures, from a chipmunk to fat babies.”

“How dreadful!” said Dorothy.

“Isn’t it, though?” returned the Hungry Tiger, licking his lips with his long red tongue. “Fat babies! Don’t they sound delicious? But I’ve never eaten any, because my conscience tells me it is wrong. If I had no conscience I would probably eat the babies and then get hungry again, which would mean that I had sacrificed the poor babies for nothing. No; hungry I was born, and hungry I shall die. But I’ll not have any cruel deeds on my conscience to be sorry for.”

“I think you are a very good tiger,” said Dorothy, patting the huge head of the beast.

Creative images filled with curiosity and always compulsive viewing. An imagination running genius erratic pathways that lead you into the hidden coppice and surreal vistas of the minds eye. Funny and charming always. Studies of surroundings with a curators care. As original and unique as a shadow cast by moonlight. Cooler than photos by people 'trying' to be cool because there is never any pretentious quality or undertone - just great expressions and ideas and visual musings that brim over with honesty and character. One of my favorite streams on Flickr : )

Wyoming looks like a dream place through her cool vision and you can't help but love the place thanks to this adorable Miss Camera and the effort she gives to showing her corner of the world just for you to enjoy. She's cool so if you're cool too then you should be sitting down with some nice food and a cup of coffee to spin through the world according to this pretty hungry tiger!

i added kristian as a contact years ago....ok...well it was actually about 9 months ago. but it feels like she's been a contact for years. i always look forward to her posts. i was first drawn to her photos for the amazing abandon buildings. i never once wanted to visit wyoming, but now i do, thanks to hungrytiger. then i saw self portraits that continually amaze me. her trademark is honesty, freshness, and uniqueness. she doesn't follow other flickr photographers, she leads them. i can't help but say that she is a natural. she captures an emotion or a mood and leaves you with a feeling that you didn't have before you looked at the photo. i find it hard to believe that she's had no formal training. take a look at her photos...they're fantastic now...and they get better and better every day. did i mention she's really really good?

I'm always delighted to notice there is a new picture from Kristian in my contacts uploads. Her style is unique and real, her self portraits creative and often funny...and I just have to add that I couldn't write a testimonial without mentioning her excellent eye with compositions...just look at those car shots for example! :) Hungrytiger's documentive photography in the Lonely America set is a joy to look at and shows us a view of the US that we don't see in the media that often. She is a good Flickr buddy and always gives value to other people's work as well. I recommend you to get familiar with her work if you haven't done that yet - going through her stream is a refreshing experience.

Kristian (hungrytiger11) is a wonderful Flickr member and has a style all her own with a good eye for the unique image. Many of her photos document old building in various stages of decay portrayed almost as artwork. In addition, however, her self portraits and collection photos are fun and always very creative.
