I'm a scientist and a hacker and I guess also an artist. I'm currently a grad student in bioengineering, and I do neuroscience research. I have been doing a lot more mixed media lately than photography, but on the upside that involves working with prints, which I hadn't done much of in the past.

I shoot mostly film. I do almost no retouching, and if I do I generally mention it in the description. I use the Gimp and ImageMagick for photo editing, and Picasa for library management.
