"Humberto Tamez has an eye for what makes an interesting photographic subject. And, he has an eye for photographing it. Some say you have to be born with an eye for photography. Others, say you can learn it. It is my opinion Humberto was born with it. He has instinct. Ha has a gift. This young photographer has a unique way of seeing what most would consider a mundane scene or object of everyday life. And, with camera in hand, he captures images that literally turn those mundane objects/scenes into the medium of art. He has an eye composition and color that draws onlookers into his photographs. View his gallery and you’ll know what I mean. Can you resist the urge to look deeper into “DroppletShade” or “TakeFlight”. Or, examine the depth of “Vista” where not only do you see the reflection of the window and blinds within the eye, but also the sky and neighborhood that lies outside the window. Within his gallery he has demonstrated a sense of photojournalism with several pieces of his work. In others, he’s demonstrated his macro photographic skills. And others, his use of color and light. Some of his work appears as if they should be hanging in a gallery. While others, within the pages of a national.
