I retired from a lifetime of work at the end of March 2006. In October we came to Mexico for the winter, and rented a house in Melaque. We planned a few months. It has turned into years.

While we were there I developed an interest in birds, and renewed my old interest in photography - though digital this time! My wife says we would be bankrupt if I had to pay for the film and developing for all the shots I have taken since we got here.

I am very much an amateur photographer and bird watcher, and I appreciate very much the comments and adv ice I have received from other Flickr users. Special thanks to the experts at Field Guide: Birds of the World.
