The world is my canvas...or should I say digital sensor now a days! I want to believe I am a contemporary thinking person, but at the same time I am also a creature of habit. So bacially I am a walking contadiction. I have a open mind, a caring heart, and an need to know more about the world around me.

I was a long time film user who sadly put away my old Pentax KX and stepped into the digital world by purchasing a Canon Xti. From that moment my old passion for photography was ignited. It was like the stars, planets and the moon was all in allignment. I know I am being over dramatic though close!

I enjoy the versatility of digital, but was not impressed with the look. To me digital is to sharp. I am constantly on the look for ways to give many of my images the look and feel of film. I love grain, I miss grain, I constantly add grain and textures, to the dismay of others, to my images. Can you tell I love grain! Many moons ago when Fuji first came out with 1600 asa color film, I fell in love with the softness, color and grain. I still have yet to find a digital duplication.

So this creature of habit and her film had to leave her comfort zone and moved on and enterd into the digital world. How do I miss my film and the smell if Hypo in the morning air.....

Photography for me is a way to spark the mind, expand the senses, and provoke emotions in not only myself but those that view my images.

It is a daily vacation from the reality of the suffering, dispair, heartache, and grief that I bare witness to with my job.

You see the world through my lens, with my heart and soul behind it.

You know my moods, my heartaches, my checks with reality through my images.

You know when I am happy and when I am sad.

You see how I see the world or sometimes you see the world when I don't want to see it.

Enjoy the journey with me.

Thanks for viewing my images!
