I got to know Tone on here. To look at his Hotpix stream is to be with him on Twitter, in colour, in monochrome, and at times 3D! He has the eye and the energy to find the next good shot coupled with outstanding post processing skills in forging the image, topped off with an informative, interesting explanation on every shot that puts Wikipedia to shame. With such a wide variety of atmosphere, one minute we have a wide-angled shot of Ian Curtis` grave, then a colour/ monochrome mixed shot of a Cadbury`s Cream Egg the next! His pioneering spirit takes us through winter conditions and night shots, nothing stops the man. Amiable chap that he is you`ll find shots of the local pie shop owners, and he`ll take the time to visit others` streams as well. Thanks for uploading mate! Tonx

Tony, you raised the bar so high that I got a crook in the neck! As if completing this monumentous challenge wasn’t hard enough, each one of your shots was of superb quality. And if I didn’t comment on each one, it is only because I came late into following your photostream and at times words failed me. You have put your life and soul into it, showing incredible versatility and imagination and never ever sitting on the fence. Your social observations are what made it for me! I can honestly say that I paused a long time in front of each photo, taking it in and learned a lot from the attached commentaries. These were the special treats! Hi, Tony! I am moved to write a testimonial on your photo essay, "One Year, One a Day". It was a huge commitment for you to adhere to but you have pulled it off admirably. As I have been on Flickr only since March this year, I have not been along for the whole journey but I have seen a number of the images in the latter part of it and the scope of them is outstanding. As well as that, the amount of information that you supply with every image is absolutely incredible and I find it worthwhile checking out your images for that aspect alone. But, of course, I don't look on for that alone, because the quality of the images keeps me coming back, too. What is a photograph, but a window onto the world. For 365 days, HotpixUK has opened his unique window for us and as a result, we are wiser and more knowledgeable than before. My interest in his work began when he commented on some of my panoramic images. I could tell from the beginning, that we both shared a passion for photography. What I was *not* expecting, was a slice of life and history from across the ocean. This man has *range*, whether it's music, architecture, or technique, he takes us along for the ride and it's a very introspective and enjoyable one.
