Spending time with Hoen is continually surprising because of his wide variety of seemingly unrelated skills. He's an artist who can fix the sink if it breaks, a guy who would rather ride rails on a skateboard than a snowboard and a great photographer to boot. I love looking at Hoen's photos because often we'll take photos of the same thing but his will look so much different than my own...it's great to be shown a different perspective I'd never noticed myself. He often finds the neatest and most under-appreciated machines men have ever created and showcases them in beautiful photographs. Besides photography, Hoen has some amazing art skills. His paintings are really impressive! He likes building neat furniture, too....and I like sitting on his neat furniture. I'm sure I'm biased, but I think Hoen is the best.
