Hi, my hame is Karen Turner. Mother, wife, artist, vegetarian, animal loving, mad woman!

I originally trained as a nurse in Birmingham many years ago but have always loved art and now have the chance to turn a lifelong passion into my career...although being creative never feels like work.

I live with my 3 children , husband and our dog, Archie, in a lovely little town in Northamptonshire, England.

I have just completed my BA (hons) Design Crafts degree with De Montford University.

My main interest and medium of choice is clay but I use all sorts of stuff to create my art and do not have a particular style. Am influenced by a wide range of fine artists and crafts people such as Lucie Rae, Antony Gormley, Frida Kahlo, Mark Quinn, Modigliani, Jackson Pollock etc etc
