These Flickr collections are photos taken at various moments during my daily life as a dual Polish and USA citizen living in Brussels, Belgium since 2006, where for some years I was rather a refugee from older political mafias in America, mafias who had targeted me out of my lifelong work as an anti-corruption writer.

 

These photos document my congenial and perhaps final home city of Brussels, these photos taken amid my life among the people and Kingdom who long gave me safety in the face of threats to destroy me.

 

Brussels is an appealing city with a great history, one of the most pleasant major capitals of the world in which to live. Brussels has a noble history of providing a safe haven to other dissident refugee writers, such as Victor Hugo, Charles Baudelaire, and Alexandre Dumas, and I shall forever be grateful how Brussels and Belgium helped to protect my own life as well. Or at least until recently, when I faced threats from a European political mafia, whose crimes I have had a unique role in exposing in the 2020s ... but that is another story.
