I'm a very proud mum to six wonderful kids who're my pride and joy. They are Kayleigh-Ann,22, Lee,21, Jay,16, Chanelle,14, Brandon,9 and last but not least Rowanne (pronounced Rowan she insists i tell you, not Row Anne!) aged 7. Kayleigh is married to a nice lad called Rob and luckily they only live a couple of houses away from me so i see them most every day. Lee lived back in my hometown with my parents as he worked there but thankfully for me he moved back here at the end of july. I have to admit that although the move was tough on him in some ways for me it was my greatest wish come true, now i have all my beautiful children living here (well, Kayleigh had a spare room so we're spread between the two), who could ask for more? My life is complete now,
About five years ago i made the decision to move away from my hometown to a more rural part of my country, to have a better life for us away from the nightmare that urban dwelling is these days. We settled in a tiny village where the kids go to a little village school with less than sixty kids in the whole place, right through from reception to year six.
Now we have a much slower pace of life, are aware of the seasons, where our food comes from and can see and appreciate all the beauty around us. We are blessed in so many ways and are thankful for every one of them.
I'm not sure what other kind of things we should put in here so i'll just explain what i hope to get out of it.....
I hope to find people like me, ordinary mums who are trying to lead a responsible life, in tune with the seasons, considerate to the needs of others and our mother earth. We can't change the planet alone but if we all do our best to make a difference and teach our kids to do the same than together we can achieve anything ......
