Latterly using an Olympus E500 DSLR. Before that a Fuji Finepix 5500 for the newer stuff and a Finepix 2600 for the older ones. With a few on the little Minolta Dimage X50 thrown in too.

Very much influenced by photojournalism. Trying to make that great image that tells a story. One day!

I live in the depths of Norfolk UK and couldn't be more passionate about the best of rural sustainability.

Testimonials

She got me into flickr, helped to rekindle my interest in photography and has been a valuable source of photographic / Flickr information and encouragement. She also takes some pretty good photographs and makes wonderful pork pies. My wife tells me I spend to much time on Flickr but I just blame Hindolbittern

It's always exciting when Sarah uploads some new photographs. Her photostream is a touchstone into a parallel universe, a remote north Norfolk village where the heart of life pulses soundly and surely. Through her fond and thrilled eye I see the world around her. I begin to know her neighbours, and their activities at the village hall. I see the changing of the seasons. When the new piglets are born, I'm one of the first to know. It's not a soap opera: it's a sideways glance at real life. It's not just documentary: Sarah is a skilled and creative artist. Her commentary is crafted with a quiet and lively humour, a gentle expression of the best of what it means to be alive to wonder in a place that you love. And, like many other people I'm sure, I await her too-kind comments on my photos with anticipation. Flickr would simply not be the same place without her. Here's to you Hindolbittern!
