I know Hilary from sxc and I was very impressed by the quality of her work. Her care for details, her grunge-style way of expressing feelings on some of her pictures impressed me and probably always will. Her use of colors and powerful contrasts in some of her works makes me think her art is strong, expressive and showing her strong character and personality. That is probably the essence of photography and of art in general, the power of being able to express your feelings and your inner self in a photograph, in a work of art. Hilary has this capacity and I am waiting to see her pictures in a gallery and the moment to tell her : "I told you so!" It will always be a pleasure to visit her gallery!
