My full name is Joseph Thomas Zichterman Junior. I was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan, and was raised in Pembine, Wisconsin for the first 10 years of my life. I grew up in a very religious family, one that was very strict about everything. I think it’s because of this that I am currently and have been on a sort of “wild streak,” aptly named “teenage stupidity.” My father has a degree in music, and taught himself to play the piano when he was 13. My mother never had any artistic training, but used to do pastels before we moved. I myself have had little to no artistic training, other than a few books and the occasional website. My friend Kristin was the one who prompted me to join Mr. Emmert’s photography class, and I’ve loved it since. I plan to attend this photography class all 4 years of high school, but I don’t believe I’ll pursue it as more of a hobby after that.
