Complete amateur here. I just like taking photos of images I find compelling or, at least, visually interesting. Hopefully, you'll like some of them as well! Obviously, this is very subjective.

Not a big fan of major post processing. A few tweaks, fine. But HDR'ing the crap out of a photo to make it look good tells me it wasn't that great of a photo to start with. Just saying.

I would greatly appreciate suggestions of resources (books, websites, whatever) that will help me improve my skills. Hopefully, they will be free, or cheap, as I have become a victim of the economic downturn. Bad time to have seriously taken up photography as a hobby. Good timing has never been one of my strong suits.
