Ich habe Anfang der 70er Jahre Fotograf gelernt (Foto Meier, Thun), dann aber nie auf dem Beruf gearbeitet. Ende 70er habe ich mein gesamtes Fotomaterial verkauft und 25 Jahre lang nicht mehr fotografiert. 2002 habe ich meine erste Digitalkamera gekauft, 2004 die erste Spiegelreflex (Nikon D50). Mit der DSLR kam auch langsam wieder Freude an der Fotografie auf, allerdings ohne dass ich mich vertieft mit den digitalen Möglichkeiten befasst hätte. Die digitale Bildentwicklung habe ich erst vor wenigen Jahren entdeckt, habe mich in Aperture eingearbeitet und im Sommer 2015 zu Lightroom gewechselt.

Mich interessiert vor allem Landschafts- und Schwarzweiss-Fotografie, aber auch ausgefallene Ideen und neue, unerwartete Sichtweisen auf die Welt.

Ich jage (mit der Kamera) gerne in meiner Umgebung (Berner Oberland) und mag die Britischen Inseln, vor allem Schottland (und die Schotten).

I studied photography in the early seventies, but I didn't make a living with it. I even gave it up completely and sold all my equipment. After 25 years I bought my first digital camera and 2004 the first DSLR (Nikon D50). With the new camera I became interested in photography again, but I didn't really deepen the digital aspects. I started digital image processing with APERTURE only a few years ago and changed 2015 to LIGHTROOM.

I'm interested in landscape and B&W photography, but also in odd ideas and unusual views of the world.

I'm hunting (with the camera) in my surroundings (Bernese Oberland) and I like the British Isles, particularly Scotland (and the Scots).
