This is pretty much a personal story of sorts. I started shooting about two years ago. You could say i had a photographers eye. I would see subjects or scenes and my mind would frame them and I would think to myself that would make a nice picture. I had a friend who was into photography and he had a nikon d70. He was going though hard times and joined the navy, while away on boot camp he was nice enough to let me borrow his d70 and from that moment on i was hooked. Over the past few months i shot everything i can and read everything i could about photography. While my shots might be terrible i was always learning trying to improve. When he finally came home i returned the camera and was off to purchase one of my own. I don't have much of a budget for photography, most of my money is tied up in just trying to survive in this world. I was able to find a used D70 on ebay for 300 bucks and a Sigma 17-35 bargin bin lens also used for another 100 dollars. With this combination in hand i set out to shoot the world.. well at least whatever i could find. I have learned alot in the past two years and my equipment has still not upgraded. I was able to find a sb800 used and it has opened my photography to new areas. While i didn't have the equipment I had to make due with what i could afford. I used home depot work lights for ghetto studio set ups and homemade bounce cards and soft boxes. I believe learning this way has taught me more then having all the equipment available to me up front. I might not be the best photographer but i try. Im always open for advice and criticisms.

I have to say something about this guy here, i first attracted to his photostream after i saw one of his picture of his best friend, i though he suppose to be a professional magazine cover photographer (^^) To my suprise, he actually happen to fell in love with photography when his friend allow him to keep his camera for a while. No bad for a camera user who bought his first camera on the internet... Potraiture, strobist and his picture around him is great to look at, good for learning some of the people culture really. Most of all, i enjoyed looking his picture of his best friend (^^) good luck... Keep on improving, i really enjoy looking at your photostream...
