I'm a digital artist, graphic design student, and neophyte photographer. Most of my work is 3D computer rendering but I've started branching out into digital photography.

Professionally, I've been in technical communication for over 20 years (as a technical writer and technical training developer). My avocations tend to be creative. I write poetry and have ideas still simmering on the back burner for several novels that may or may not ever be written.

Politically, I'm passionately and unashamedly progressive/liberal who has voted in every major election since I obtained the right to vote. The candidates I want elected don't usually win, but at least I take comfort in voting my conscience and participating in the process. I'm deeply zealous about civil rights and have a strong libertarian streak when it comes to individual liberties. But I also think that powerful institutions like corporations and governments need to be regulated and restrained when they overstep.

I consider myself quite spiritual with an evolving perspective on a lifelong Christian faith that I seek to reconcile with a strong belief in reason and science. I think faith and reason can (and should) co-exist and reject any dogma that insists I can only embrace one while making the other my enemy.
