I am a visual artist inspired by the inherent tension present in the cycle of creation of destruction and the way humans influence that equilibrium. The amount of power humans have over the earth is both frightening and seductive. The concentration of power that some possess has the potential to send us all spiraling down into a rabbit hold leading to our own demise. Those who do no have posses such immense power lust for it and sacrifice their lives in the capitalist rat race to attain it.

Whether humans overcome their greedy carnality does not matter, because life will persist with or without us. Underneath the toxic colors and subject matter in my paintings there is are areas of rest, whether it is a blank area of canvas, beaming rays of light, or open land. There is hope.
