I found Helga's photo-stream through the explore pages. Helga brings something to flickr that is long overdue - a wonderful & personal perspective on her home country, Iceland. Her images are sometimes vibrant, sometimes stark, but always show true beauty. I lived in Scotland for a good 30 years and I am now kicking myself that I never once took the short flight over to see the stunning vistas she shoots daily. Helga has a keen eye for composition in both her landscape and portrait shots. In fact her portrait shots are all the more special since she typically takes them using ambient light even though they look like flash. Aside from her keen skills behind the lens, she's also a super flickr friend who I can always rely to boost my ego with her positive comments.
