The thing I most love about photography is being able to take my camera out and always being able to find something to create an image from - even what at first glance appears to be rather mundane can be made into something beautiful (or at least interesting), given the right light and choice of the right lens and the right angle.

Favourite subjects are macro, and music (mostly jazz).

I use a Canon EOS 40D and my favourite lens is the EF 28-135 f3.5-5.6 IS USM which I've had forever (ie predigital). For macro I still love my old faithful 50mm f2.5 - it's not fancy, but it works!
