My photostream is mostly nature, technology related (trains and planes), performance, and street photography.

Background:

Most photos were taken by Hunter Desportes, except for the period before 1966 where there are also photos taken by my father, Robert Desportes.

I've been a kind of on and off, obsessive, photographer since I got my first camera at age 10 in 1964. This camera was a Kodak Instamatic 126 film camera and took black and white, color film and slides. After 1967 until the early 2000's, I used primarily 35mm film cameras. During especially the late 1960's and early 1970's, I used mostly black and white film and processed these in my own small darkroom.

After year 2000, I switched primarily to digital photography, but continue to use 35mm film cameras intermittently.
