Kat is an incredibly talented photographer and a precious friend. Her photos are a great way to get to know her as she shares so much of her life through them, but I’ve also had the chance to know her even better thanks to MOFC, a group formed by Kat. MOFC is my favourite group on flickr because we don’t just share photos but everything that is important to us. It’s no wonder Kat came up with the idea of creating this special group; she is such a sincere, sweet, and kindhearted person. I love all of Kat’s photos, especially her dog photographs! Kat’s talent and the amazing bond she has with her dogs produce wonderful results. Gabe and Elroy are fantastic dogs and models – they just love posing for the camera and they have a great variety of expressions that are guaranteed to make you smile every time. Kat also comes up with so many original ideas that you always wonder what she’s going to do next. Those photographers who look down upon pet photos must see Kat’s dog and squirrel photos because there’s no denying that she turns “pet photos” into a work of art. I feel that I am learning so much from Kat both as a human being and a photographer, and I’m grateful for that.

Most especially, her wonderful, talented and beautiful dogs, Elroy and Gabriel. She really takes her time and sets up the shots. You'd think she has her very own professional studio in her home. She's so creative and it comes across in every single photograph, whether it's of her puppies, her fabulous husband, Jer or anything else that happens to capture her attention. Kat has become one of my closest friends, even though we live several states away. She's one of the most generous, kind and intelligent people I know, with a very funny and witty humor that makes me smile every time I talk with her.
