Healing Through Art

As a veteran combat photographer, I have turned to more peaceful images in order to bring much needed beauty to the world. This is therapy on so many levels.

My Background

I thought I was on my way to a career as a marine biologist until I walked into a high school photography classroom of a very special teacher….majoring in photography, followed by eight years in the Army as a Combat Photographer soon followed.

On the first of two deployments to Somalia, I was actually one of the first US Army photographers to carry a digital camera into combat.
