I was born in rural Illinois. The experience of growing up there cultivated a deep appreciation of nature. The down-to-earth environment also evoked a respect for the land, the authentic personalities, and the simple, genuine, matter-of-fact life style. I learned much about life, how to live, how to see clearly, and how to focus on craftsmanship, striving for perfection.

I have been photographing the world around me for over 20 years. I have taken pictures coast to coast in the US and in several foreign locations.
