Hi everyone!

I'm Harry, an amateur photographer from Pasadena, California.

My current long term project is to look at how people interact with monuments and artworks in what I consider to be the modern descendant of the religious pilgrimage.

I like to take all kinds of photos, but I enjoy taking portraits most of all. Candid, staged, studio, street, on-location, whatever.

I love to learn and I love to shoot. I love learning and shooting simultaneously. Narrative and color are the most important things to me in my photos, though I still find I make a lot of shots that I prefer in black and white.

I was the Photography Editor for my school newspaper, and I did a lot of sports shooting as well as various editorial portraits in that context. My paid work consists of studio services at dances and parties, as well as event photography at charity auctions, firm parties, and other happenings. I enjoyed providing an attraction away from the dance floor or drinks table, just letting my subjects have a good time in front of the camera.

I shoot digital with a Nikon D7000, medium format film with a Rolleiflex 3.5c, and 35mm Film with a Nikkormat FT-3 and Canonet QL17.
