Drag to set position!
I'm Scottish and moved to France about 30 years ago. My boyfriend (Now husband) Fabrice is French and has lived in our village all his life.
We run an Angora goat and sheep farm and keep pigs, chickens and other livestock. We've built our house, we're off grid and produce all the food we need but we do sometimes buy food - especially exotic fruit and chocolate.
I'm passionate about living simply, I always have been. I did a permaculture course in the early 80s and a lot of what I heard and have found out about since, such using renewable resources, gardening, animal welfare, building and making things, sharing resources and so on comes under the Permaculture 'umbrella'. Fabrice has always lived the way we do. He is a great builder, singer, gamekeeper and registered trapper and a responsible hunter. He speaks good English, but computers don't do anything for him at all.
The magic of the internet means that I can share what we're doing and find out what you're up to too, without having to leave home - which I can't do often because of our animals and to honest I don't really want to anyway because it's so nice here.
If you've had time to look through some of my photographs, you know a lot about me already !

Thank you very much that beside of all your work, you find time and share your garden impression with us on Flickr! We are always so happy to find new pictures on your photostream. Your garden is such a great balance between nature and productivity and your beautiful pictures just hide the work, hurting muscles, the temperatures to endure - your pictures show the pure beauty of a most personal looking garden. (Only the smells, sounds and tastes are missing of course ;) ). We dream of course, that ours might look one day similar - you simply show that it is possible. Thanks!

Always a real joy to see developments of the garden - a collection of photos I'm always coming back to.
