I'm a freelance photo stylist/producer, married to a commercial photographer. But I love to take pictures as much as he does! Love to travel and that has been a great source of material, though just being open to what's around me every day is just as fun, creative and inspiring.
Please take a look at my Favorites as well. There are so many fabulous talents out there in Flickr-land that inspire me every day. Flickr has definitely become my addiction... like it has for so many others. I'm blown away by the amazing work that I come across daily. The talent is truly staggering... I just can't get enough! It makes me want to try harder as well. Thanks for stopping by!
My cameras:
My trusty Holga... the simplest one there is.
iPhone... cooler than ever imagined
My new Canon G10.... love it!
A Casio Exilim EX-P600, my first foray into digital.
And a Nikon FM, that I haven't touched in ages!

How many times have I said to myself "Damn, I wish I had taken that photo" upon viewing her latest work. Her sepia work evokes the Paris of Atget but replaces the frank alone-ness with an elation that is never syrupy or sentimental. I am grateful. I can't wait for the book.

Leila's photographs taken with her trusty Holga are truly museum worthy! Whether taken in Europe or America, her images evoke feelings of being in another place, at another time. Having just seen an exhibition of Ansel Adams' work, I feel that Leila's work should be just as widely seen and widely appreciated. I am so glad I have discovered this unsung genius and can only hope that someday, somewhere, there will be an exhibition to showcase this incredible work.
