Hannah Thiem's artistic endeavors have been a constant journey into the unknown, as portrayed through her travels to lands such as Greece, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Mexico, Ireland, Italy, England, France and Germany. The new perspectives she gained through her exploration of such lands she's translated to the printed medium, to capture the fleeing moments with a hand-held apparatus to interpret Hannah's experience to others. In so doing, she allows the viewer to take a closer look and lose him/herself in the nearness of the perspective. In addition, the viewer is able to step away from the image and see it as small parts, perhaps recognizing an entirely different subject matter than what the subject is in actuality.

Hannah's most compelling quality is the ability to portray her subjects, whether animate or inanimate, in the most natural and candid light possible. She is able to get to the purest essence of that moment and present it unfettered for those viewing. Her visions tend to have a hint of romanticism, a lot of class, and a gentle hint of dark beauty. Hannah's unique style has defined her work since her explorations into black and white photography whilst living in Granada, Spain.
