It is a struggle to become the man you want to be. It's harder and takes longer than you want. Lessons to be learned aren't sitting idly by while we casually experience them. Often those lessons are shoved down our throats with a ferocity that nearly kills us. Yet, those very experiences help us to dream and to eventually see that we may become even better than we dreamed.

 

HandyDad started as a way for me to work with my children and hopefully to teach them the value of hard work. I used to joke that I hoped they learned that manual labor sucked so they should work harder in school. They took the 'work sucks' aspect to heart. Only time will tell if they've learned anything else. At least my girls should never need a man to fix anything.
